This week Saturday-Saturday will probably be one of the greatest weeks in a while. I‘m really looking forward to it. Tomorrow I go to Ruston, which is about an hour east of here and where I went to college. In Ruston there will be a bachelor party for Jacob – he’s my best friend and getting married next weekend. I’m a groomsman and I’m not too sure who’s all coming to the bachelor party. The guys who live in Ruston were kind of in charge of it so I’m just showing up at 2 at Dustin’s house as I was told to do. It’ll be cool though to hang out with them. Depending on how hard we party, I may or may not go to church on Sunday morning. We shall see. The good Lord forgives.
MONDAY! I start my new job at the trophy shop. I job shadowed all day on Wednesday and I really enjoyed the couple that will be my bosses. It’s a family-ran shop and its been open for over 30yrs. Mrs. Pam and Mr. Pat seem to be really nice and accommodating. I’m just happy for the opportunity to work. It’s 9-5 M-F and it’s air conditioned. Those are great perks and I’m grateful for both. So hopefully, I will be working all week. Although Mrs. Pam told me on Wednesday to come in on Monday and we’d “work on the schedule” so I don’t know when I’m working and when I’m not. I should be busy all week at the trophy shop
THURSDAY! This will be a typical Thursday, besides the whole job thing. I will have Bible study at 6:30 and since my job, Bible study, and my sister’s house are all on the same side of town, I figure I may go drop by and see them after work. My sister went crazy last weekend and we haven’t really spoken since, so it may be a little awkward. I don’t know. But Bible study will be fun, as always.
FRIDAY! Friday will be hectic. Hopefully I will be at work and at work we usually order takeout and eat lunch all together. This can’t happen on Friday. I will leave during lunch to go pick up my tux at the rental place for the wedding which will be the next day. That’s clear across town, btw. I get off work at 5 and rehearsal is at 6. The rehearsal will be up in Benton about an hour from where I work. Thankfully, Kimmy lives in Benton, so I will probably pick her up on my way to the rehearsal and then we’ll go to the rehearsal dinner with everyone. The rehearsal dinner is about 30mins south of where the rehearsal is so yea. Lots and lots of running around. It’ll all be so much fun though! I’m most excited about seeing Reagan, actually. She’s a friend from high school who will be a bridesmaid and I haven’t seen her since high school! There are so many things wrong with that. Thankfully, it’s being rectified in a week.
SATURDAY! It’s the wedding day. I think it starts at like 5:30 or something, but we have to be up there at like 3 for pictures. Jacob is seeing Amanda before the wedding. smh. So we will have all the pictures taken before the wedding and then go party afterward. This is something I like about Baptist weddings, they’re like 20mins long. YES! Haha. My parents have been invited to the wedding. This is a cause of panic for sure. My parents and friends don’t mingle – ever. A lot of my friend, whom I’ve been friends with for many, many years will be meeting my parents for the first time. They need to be on their best behavior and I need to just chill out and have fun. Prayers will be appreciated for that. Haha. We will party into the night probably. I’m looking so forward to this!
